WVEIS is a networked computerized data system that includes: 

  • A comprehensive Student Management System that manages student records including  demographics, attendance, scheduling and grading for all active, inactive and graduated  students.

  • An Employee Management System that manages over 4600 current active and substitute employees.

  • A Financial Management System that maintains the accounts payable and purchasing functions for each county.

  • The Human Resources Management System that maintains personnel and seniority information.

  • A Substitute Employee Management Calling System that is utilized by five counties.


Currently serving the needs of 53 schools, 5 Board of Education Offices, 5 Transportation Offices and 5 Food Service Offices, the RESA 6 Staff assists over 3000 system users.


The responsibility of the RESA 6 WVEIS Computer Operations Center is to:

  • Support each county's WVEIS related software training and implementation.

  • Set-up and maintain WVEIS User authorizations and menus according to needs determined by each county.

  • Provide WVEIS computer installations.

  • Provide WVEIS related technical support.

  • Assist with Payroll Direct Deposits and bank reconciliation.

  • Assist users with mandated electronic data submissions.

  • Provide repair and programming support for the router that ties each facility's computer network to the WVEIS computer and to the internet.

  • Provide substitute management calling system maintenance and help desk support for employees and substitutes in Hancock, BrookeOhio, Marshall and Wetzel Counties.
